I like most all beers, except those with added fruit flavors. Lagers, Ales, Stouts, Pilsners, IPAs, Porters, Bocks, you name it. I have always been a huge fan IPAs and APAs. Over Christmas when I was back in the US I went to the Other Half taproom in Brooklyn. They are constantly rated as one of the top beer companies in the US. It didn't disappoint. Really amazing stuff. Although, last week, my friend took a trip the Boston area and went to the Trillium taproom for their weekend can release. It is in the middle of nowhere, you have to have a car to get out their. Even so, apparently people were lined up out the door and around the corner at 10am. She brought me back a can of their double dry hopped Fort Point Pale Ale (seen in the pic above) Hands down the best beer I have ever had in my life. My son is a big fan of IPAs, if this beer is available anywhere outside of the brewery's locale I'll let him know about it. It seems there are craft breweries popping up everywhere. One of my local favorites is made by O'connor Brewing Company and is called Red Nun (red ale), I like it not so much for the flavor (it is good), but for the name and nautical reference to the red colored Nun buoy of which there are many in the waters here. They had a special edition T-shirt that said Red, Right, Return to O'connor's Brewery referencing the seafarers rule of remembering how to navigate buoys. Their IPA is called El Guapo, a medium-bodied Agave India Pale Ale which is a favorite of the locals.

Certainly too many to remember but a few standouts were the Grand Avenue IPA at the Pacific Beach Ale House south of La Jolla, others in Monterey, Mendocino, Whistler and other small towns in BC and Alberta, Canada, and on and on. At least one everyday on the 6 month trip.

At least one everyday on the 6 month trip. Oh yeah, and the house IPA in Moab, Utah. The problem with IPA's is their high a/v content so you have to enjoy the flavor in moderation. We were driving to Bryce Canyon along the Colorado river one afternoon from Moab and stopped at the Moab Brewery for an excellent burger on the way out of town, and fortunately the draft IPA's by law in UTAH have to have a lower % of alcohol than the cans and bottles, so I could have a few with lunch before the 200 miles of canyon driving. The flavor was excellent.

Craziest market swings I’ve ever seen in my life. Down 650 points one day, up 1,000 the next.

I do follow this one, but have never owned it. It has been a brutal slide to the bottom over the past year. I'll take a closer look. Thanks for the heads up.

Bull case: that’s all they need to get by until some known future event (like EU approval and partnership) Bear case: that’s all the market would bear now, and they really need $100 million

As for the bolded bit. Wouldn't the market have known that though before this latest raise?

The warrants in this deal stink but I still don’t understand why they went for such a low raise. The timing on the warrants doesn’t match their funding needs either which means something else must be in the works. One thing is for certain—this raise illustrates to Congress how screwed antibiotics companies are.

Feel sorry for those who went all-in on this one a year or so go.

I was wondering if there would be a bounce today after yesterday's fire sale, and wouldn't you know it I was thinking about picking up a handful of shares pre-market, but not worth the risk. Wouldn't be surprised to see this rally fizzle out in the next few days.

Anyways...should see pretty soon.

What a wild, crazy and overall sh*tty week for the market. If I wasn't focused solely on stocks that are event driven, I would be 100% cash right now. I smell some even rougher days ahead. What do you all think?

What do you all think? I was seriously considering cashing out several months ago in order to be ready for the predicted coming recession. All the talking heads, not just the politically motivated, have been looking for a slow down starting in 2020. But my greedy side wanted to chance timing things a little to close and now I'm caught circling the drain. I'm sitting tight and taking my licks. Maybe with an election coming next year, there will be a few market stimulating events to keep the economy humming along contrary to those who want it to crash in order to have a change in power in D.C.
