I sold all of my Volition shares few days ago. Seems to be the right decision.
I want to buy now more Dyadic. My position is still relatively small, so i hope to get more shares ~$5.50.
The latest announcement was really exciting.

Interview yesterday with Mark at LD Micro in LA: I like the way he broke down the scientific jargon into more layman terms and made understandable comparisons. Their goals are probably not as simplistic as it sounds and I wonder what technical hurdles there may be?

In the spirit of Christmas today I added some more This has been beaten up pretty badly as of late. Nothing has fundamentally changed. In fact, there has been a lot of very positive news. This is likely just eoy tax selling or shorts. They can have there fun for now. I full expect Mark to ink an cash-upfront loaded licensing deal or sell off their aav wing for a substantial amount of cash sometime next year in order to further develop the glyco program.

this filled a gap in the chart today with end of the year tax selling. I'm looking for it to rebound in new year.

this filled a gap in the chart today with end of the year tax selling. I'm looking for it to rebound in new year. DYAI could seriously use some coverage by more reputable firms, but since they aren’t going to do a cash raise, there isn’t much incentive for brokers to do it. It keeps, and will continue to keep DYAI flying low on the radar until really big news hits, in my opinion.

I sold off some odd shares of EDIT I have been sitting on and bought more DYAI at $5.07 today to lower my pps. It popped right afterwards to $5.28 so hopefully it holds and continues up in 2020. There will be some fluctuation, but I am very confident we will be happy with our investment this time next year and hopefully for years to come.

Something to note from this bit in the recent operational update: Dyadic’s success in the ZAPI program has led to an expansion of this relationship as well. The company recently received positive preliminary results from animal studies that demonstrated strong performance protecting cattle and mice from the Schmallenberg virus. The consortium has since contracted with Dyadic to express two additional proteins in animal health.
Protein Sciences was working with Sanofi to develop their Baculovirus expression system. This is what DYAI is doing with ZAPI, only using the C1 expression platform instead. To date C1 has dramatically outperformed Baculovirus which is likely why ZAPI wanted to expand the relationship. Also of note, Sanofi bought Protein Sciences for $750M in 2017. As we know from Mark’s own words and the corporate presentation, Sanofi has been working with DYAI over the past year and have exceeded their goals with C1. DYAI said they anticipate Sanofi to report the data sometime in 1H 2020, and according to Mark, at that time will either end the collaboration or continue it by either a licensing deal or buyout. That’s where I think this is headed and why I think DYAI remains super undervalued at the current $180M market cap. www.pharmaceutical-technology.com/news/newssanofi-agrees-to-buy-protein-sciences-for-750m-5868216/

Something that is important to remember, but is kind of an after thought right now, is all of their equity stakes. Whoever eventually buys $DYAI out (if ever) will also absorb that equity. By buying $DYAI out they validate C1, which gives Mark a joker card at the negotiating table in regard to the value of that equity. Even if the companies whom DYAI has their stakes in are still in R&D mode at that point, the buyer will have to factor in the ultimate values of those companies and DYAI’s stakes using the same math used to valuate how much C1 is worth to them. It could add 100Ms + to the takeover bid, imo.

$4.92, ouch! I guess I should have waited. I may prune some other stocks to buy more of this. Just not convinced it may not even go lower today/next week.
