I now thought weeks about this company and i would like to discuss this with you.
PRVB was founded just 4 Years ago in 2016. Co-founder was Ashleigh Palmer, who founded Celimmune which was then acquired by Amgen. The leading drug against Celiac disease was then licensed to the newly founded Provention Bio for $150 Million payed to Provention to develop it.
A good in depth read by Amgen on this story: www.amgenbd.com/specific-article?Id=FBE228C6-8D92-4024-8B9A-F9B1CBD0A759
Their main program is although Teplizumab for the delay of Type 1 Diabetes in at risk patients. Later more on that.
A quick look on their finanical situation right now:
Market cap - $656.96M
Cash - $76.63M (will last to mid 2021)
The real deal for the company is definitely teplizumab as it is the first real revolution in T1D since invention of Insuline 100 years ago! The idea for the main indication is that you screen relatives of patients who have T1D and if it's likely that they will express T1D in the very near future, you give them a 14 day course of Teplizumab. This will then delay or completely stop onset of the disease. There is a growing coverage by media regarding this revolution. For example: fox17.com/news/local/tullahoma-teen-makes-medical-history
"Emalee Mansfield's health didn't come without science and sacrifice. Her mom, Lisa Mansfield, explains the dire medical prognosis, “They told us that she had about an 85% chance of developing Type 1 Diabetes within a year.”"
"She didn't know if she got the experimental medicine or a placebo. Now, the scientific findings are out and they're conclusive. Her dad adds, “Seven years and she still doesn't show any signs of developing Type 1, so that shows signs that it stopped it completely.”"
Thats just an example. The need in the community is big for a real change.
They have also a vaccine program against a virus linked with onset of T1D. This is still early stage, but very promising.
Provention has Breakthrough designation for Teplizumab and is currently conducting a rolling BLA approval. They also got PRIME deaignation by EMA. The BLA is expected to be completed in Q4 this year. If all goes it's way approval should occur mid next year.
The market is huge. Just 30k at risk patients screened could bring $3b in revenue with a pricing of $100k.

The pipeline:

I bought a big position at an average cost $10.30 at the latest dip. The rally this week was very nice, but i think that the stock is still very cheap. Due to volatility in the stock it's definitely possible that the price comes down again at some time to the $11 region.
Thats all for now, but i will add more later.
