Hi,
Long time lurker here. I used to post on Icell, username nateb23. Stopped a couple of years back when things got weird over there. Anyways, I am invested in ONCS and NRIFF. Looking forward to adding something to the conversation occasionally.

Hello! I was part of the ancient, long defunct ACTC google group with many of you here. I posted under my actual name, not my alias, and to give you a sense of just how long ago that was -- I was made a manager by feeed the same day that Cesar was. Yep. I left the group not too long after that though, as I did not like the shenanigans of posters trying to contact the company and get information in ways I thought were inappropriate. So I posted a warning, and then quit the group, because I did not want to end up reading anything that shouldn't have been posted in the first place. Back in the google group days, there was no one I agreed with more often than you Jham. We often had the same thoughts. I never joined icell, but saw what happened with you and have been lurking here for bit. Thank you for creating a thoughtful and well run forum that I am glad to feel (almost?) comfortable rejoining A shout out too to Jckrdu for sharing your insights and your trades. As for myself, I am now out of OCAT, I thankfully averaged down and while I did not make big $$ as I dreamed of when we were an OTC penny stock, I made enough to pay my car lease this year, and after the recent lows I am happy to be out without a loss. Looking forward to contributing here.

Hello out there! I have been investing in Biotech stocks for about a year and a half with okay success. The past couple of months have been very rough though. I cannot seem to catch a break to save my life! I recently came upon this forum when I was reading a RDHL article in Seeking Alpha. Somebody put a link to this in the comment section. I really enjoy reading the discussions about RDHL. I think the stock will take off pretty soon. Thanks JHAM for setting this up! Bill

Biotechs are always up and down, but there is always a way to make money on them, imo. See ya back in the RDHL forum JHam

Welcome to the board! I enjoy your posts over at ST and look forward to reading them here as well. Thanks! I much prefer this format to the twit/tweet format. Less cheerleading, more opportunity to read, write, and digest complete and coherent thoughts. Though I'm not a biotech investor (and tbh probably will never be one) I appreciate that we can discuss techs and other microcaps. I'm a recovering goldbug (I know, just as gold reaches record highs... I'll be ok) who has finally decided to simply take what the market has to offer rather than what I expect it to offer. As I am transitioning to retirement (363 days if I can swing it, but who's counting?), I'm processing a massive number of market opportunities and look forward to the chance to present them and see them honestly (even mercilessly) judged. Carpe diem!

As I am transitioning to retirement (363 days if I can swing it, but who's counting?), I'm processing a massive number of market opportunities and look forward to the chance to present them and see them honestly (even mercilessly) judged. Carpe diem! This board has a long history dating back to probably around 2007 or so, evolving from an old private Google board. That board started as a stem cell-focused board and many of the core members have bounced around until moving here in 2014. I also like this format the best. It's easy to read and follow and all posts are saved and therefore easy to look-up for reference any time using the search function. I am not as focused on biotechs like I once was. It used to be a pretty easy formula to make money. Find the biotech cult stock, buy some shares before the run-up to a data release, sell before data is published. Some stocks did better than others, but it always seems like there was a way to be in the green at some point during that time frame. Of course if you hold through data it becomes super binary. You could hit the jackpot or you could get burned big time. I am learning more and more about this tech stocks and have made most of my profits this year in that sector. I thought about changing the name of this forum to a more universal-stock friendly name, but it would take too much re-organizing. It's pretty easy for everyone to find their way to the "Other Stocks" forum here though. Congrats on retirement!
