Well, I have to respect that you are the boss here, I just feel that people kind of know what they're getting with a Hophead post and most honestly choose to ignore it. I think bans are far too extreme, but I respect your desire not to have to over moderate for one poster who wasn't following the rules. Yeah I hate banning anyone, which is why I gave him so many chances. It was so easy for him not have been banned, but it was just getting out of control. Where do I draw the line? Do you think people should be allowed to post here who, for example, come on here and make violent threats? Of course not, and if that were happening here I'd be on board with a permaban, but outside of colorful language I don't think Hop was doing anything too far out of the ordinary for a frustrated investor. Would it be possible to give him his own area to rant in? I'm sure you've thought of millions of ways to help keep hop in line. I just feel that this board gives him a healthy release for much of his angst. |

Thanks for making the tough choices Jham. It isn't like you are paid for this and constantly monitoring someone you have asked to chill out over 100 times isn't fair to you. You were more than fair and gave more than enough chances, and what you were asking was so simple that I find it hard to feel bad for him. It is unfortunate, because just like you, I enjoyed Hop's normal posts in other forums. Wish it could have worked out differently.

Is it just me or is ICELL filled with POS? In one thread there is a guy telling another guy he doesn't have sympathy for him not making money with OCAT because "you should have known what you were getting in to, a huge gamble", then in another thread a guy ask Roche "Hey, why not throw us a Billion....with a B" Uh, maybe because Roche has a fiduciary responsibility not to waste money on a huge gamble.

Today is a lesson of patience for Hophead. If he would have exercised patience for just a few more days he could of gone out in a blaze of glory after today's action. His responses would have been epic.

I was one of his original supporters as I agreed with most of what he would say (maybe not in the manner he put it, but the principle behind what he would say as I had been beyond fed up with ACTC/OCAT). It just became overkill though. All of his "rants" became so tasteless. He also became a massive distraction to the purpose of this forum, which is the sharing of knowledge/info regarding biotech for the purpose of making money. IMO, if he was so adamant about voicing his opinion of the company, he would have been better off creating a long well-thought-out blog that vented his ultimate frustrations with the company (referencing all of their wrongdoings in his mind) and had a link to that blog in his signature. Oh well. Sorry you had to babysit for so long... |

Is the world coming to an end? My biotech portfolio is down 45% from earlier this year and I have held onto what I thought were promising stocks at decent costs. This downward spiral seems to be never ending. Cheese and Rice.
