I sold all mine as well. Still very much interested in this play but .34 was better than .17 to have a play later. Sorry about the "attractive opportunity" misunderstanding. They are the attractive opportunity to some one some where, apparently...lol

Not sure what to make of the current volume/activity. It traded over 30M share the last time it spiked, but now we're over 250M. I'm sure a lot of it is the bagholders (of which I'm one) dumping into the spike. I'm still in for a penny and in for a pound. Holding for a better exit may not be the wisest thing I ever did.

yet....it may be (the wisest thing you've ever done) who knows. I am looking to see if can get back in at .20 since it gapped up to .23 at the open and never covered down at .19 We shall see it may just keep on truckin

I respect the posters here and kinda surprised by the number that exited. I felt today was good. Dan was direct, forthright and focused. I see the risks, but I actually believe we get some news within the next couple weeks that further pushes us forward prior to r/s. Imo, the worst is now behind us. Perhaps I’m putting too much stock in Dan, but our burn rate is so low and opportunity still large in near term with partnerships and potential conditional with pmda possible in near term.
Timing this stock based on gaps is challenging imo so I’m here for the long run either way.

Almost 268M shares traded on Thursday without any news reported. I wouldn’t be surprised if something leaked behind the scenes. Not saying that’s for sure the case, but with that kind of volume it’s hard to imagine that it was just a day trader pump/dump. I haven’t been following this company for a while, but if there isn’t any big news early next week and it dips back below $.20 I may take a small position.

Can still move lower to fill gap, but IMO its just as likely that news comes first and takes it higher before the reverse and small capital raise.

That said, I did exit my position after it ran up over .30 on that PR yesterday. No position in ATHX at this moment. IMO, yesterday's PR indicating the "Research Review" is scheduled for Monday, 8/29 to me suggests the reverse could be scheduled for the Friday before, 8/26. Reverse on Friday 8/26 and then Monday 8/29 is the good news that will keep people holding when the reverse news prints after hours on 8/26. The above is just one scenario. Dan could have other things planned between now (8/9) and 8/26, as that's more than a 2 week window where more news could be coming. All that said, I'm more comfortable being on the sideline for now knowing that the reverse news and subsequent capital raise could come at any time. I intend to re-establish a position in ATHX as the reverse and capital raise is executed. Final thought is that I agree with MD's prior thoughts about the wisdom of perhaps just sitting tight. Trying to trade and time biotechs that can release news at any time has risks. GL all. |
