A friend sent me this very interesting article from Scientific American which propelled me into digging into this OTC company called ChromaDex. Rather than trying to explain what they do I'll just give this blurb from their website. Their main products ("proprietary ingredients") have to do with anti aging. The products are along the lines of Resveratol (the Red wine ingredient) but more potent and from different sources. Very interesting stuff that a lot of people much smarter than I am are spending a lot of time researching.

ChromaDex® is an innovative natural products company that discovers, acquires, develops and commercializes proprietary-based ingredient technologies through its unique business model which utilizes its wholly-owned synergistic business units, including ingredient technologies, natural product fine chemicals (known as “phytochemicals”), chemistry and analytical testing services and product regulatory and safety consulting (as Spherix Consulting). The Company provides seamless science-based solutions to the dietary supplement, food & beverage, animal health, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. Our ingredient technologies unit includes products backed with extensive scientific research and intellectual property. The ingredient portfolio includes pTeroPure® pterostilbene; ProC3G®, a natural black rice containing cyanidin-3-glucoside; PURENERGY®, a caffeine-pTeroPure® co-crystal; nutraGac™, a gac fruit powder; curcumin, and NIAGEN®, its recently launched branded nicotinamide riboside, a novel next-generation B-vitamin.
A few welcome things with this company: actual revenues, projected profitability in 2016, and cash flow positive as of last quarter. Also Nobel Laureate's associated with their technologies. This whole space is interesting to me. One caveat is that there need to be a lot more human trials, but this company has conducted some and more are lined up.
Here is the Scientific American guest blog:

Here is a recent corporate presentation which gives a good overview:

I'd recommend reviewing both and doing your own DD before investing, it is a small cap OTC stock so most of us are familiar with those risks. I plan to continue my research and may take a position at some point. Good luck.
