I'll probably wait to open a position until after the earnings release on August 02, 2016, but I plan on having a nice chunk here. PDUFA priority review is due August 17, 2016.

Portola Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company. The Company is focused on the development and commercialization of therapeutics in the areas of thrombosis, other hematologic disorders and inflammation for patients who have limited or no approved treatment options. The Company's two lead programs, Betrixaban and Andexanet alfa, address unmet medical needs in the area of thrombosis, or blood clots. Its third product candidate is Cerdulatinib. The Company's Syk is a mediator of immune response in various types of immune cells. The Company has a program of highly selective Syk inhibitors, one of which is partnered with Ora Inc. Its Betrixaban is an oral once-daily inhibitor of Factor Xa. Its Andexanet alfa, is an orphan drug, which is a recombinant protein designed to reverse anticoagulant activity in patients treated with an fXa inhibitor. The Company is developing orally available kinase inhibitors to treat hematologic disorders and inflammation.

I went long on this last Jan. and currently down a third.....bummer. I believe this will come back strong...just don't know when. Two Moons Kachina, this is not. Good luck to all here! ACT taught me patience.

dropping again after earnings. looking like a capital raise to coincide with NDA at the turn of next quarter. Im still holding, obviously lots of interested partners and they just hinted at more non-dilutive funding. They are spending a ton of money, though.

Yeah....shares of Portola surged 33 percent after FDA accepts NDA for Betrixaban on Friday 12/23/16. I'm still holding and need another thirty percent to start realizing some decent gain. Glta

After the JP Morgan investor event, Portola is on the rise again...yea ! On Feb 17 I will officially been in this for a year....now a true long...fwiw. I parked a bunch of ocata proceeds here because of all their phase 3 trials and good prospects...then the rug got pulled ...finally a new floor....and reaching up. GLTA

Bump...PDUFA date 12/31/18....This one is waking up ! FDA approval for PAS! Moved up 15 % after trading halt. Still a bargain for their pipeline. I've been holding and adding all year, now ready for sales reports. This is for un-met medical needs...first to market. Three pipelines... A great start to 2019...GLTA

A CHMP nod of approval this morning on their second marketed drug and an excellent quarter sends this up 4 bucks a share. What a nice three month chart for a change. Almost feel like I know what I'm doing....hehe. European marketing approval of their second drug due in May...no exact date can I find yet. Will be like an FDA PDUFA . With sales numbers just coming in and another strong quarter along with new approval PTLA could really fly....IMO ! Doesn't look cheap but, remember it was twice what it is now, not long ago, with only one approval. Now 2b market cap with two US and one Europe approval and more on the way. GLTA

One of my stocks that held up well today...heading into earnings. Portola has been beaten down lately but, I believe sales numbers are going to come in stronger than Market expects. Two products commercialized and another almost. GLTA

So Portola is on a tear after beating on earnings and revs. Up four percent Wed. and then twelve percent Thurs. and today another couple percent in first fifteen minutes. Still has a lot of room to run. GLTA.

Since my last post on PTLA it had tanked because one of their approved drugs didn't sell well. The others are doing OK. Thru out the last couple months against my better judgement I averaged down to about 10.50 per share. Well today ALEXION Pharma is buying them at 18.00 so the stock jumped 130%. I haven't heard the closing date yet. Just like ACTC/OCAT a bunch of my shares are newly gotten...so lose some gain to tax.. I know profit is profit. WHEeee....paging Wallace ? This was in my long pile for a couple years and I was hoping to leave it there. ALXN is not offering share swap. ALXN trades about 100 bucks.
