This may be the snap back. Up 5% high 6% on TSX Canadian mkt today with volume of 13,300 in just 30 mins. We'll see how the rest of the day pans out though off to work.

Good volume today! Hopefully we break out of the $5's and start the move up ahead of TLD release.

NRIFF has been dragging a little behind NRI. If this will eventually catch up then we should see a nice green day soon (or maybe just not a red day when NRI sees one).

Keep in mind the Canadian dollar changed today alot which made Canadian stocks trades on both U.S. and Canadian exchanges do better. But yes it should change soon. Very good day today.

Wait... didn't the dollar appreciate against the Canadian dollar today? The change looks marginal at best anyways so I doubt it played much into today's action IMO.

Good volume today! Hopefully we break out of the $5's and start the move up ahead of TLD release. Almost triple the daily volume for both NRI and NRIFF. Hopefully NRIFF will catch up to NRI tomorrow pps-wise. Good to see it close above $6 ($6.15 for that matter). Would be nice if this is the beginning of a potential pre-data release run-up.

Not that it means much, but the bid/ask spread EOD today was 6.21/6.29

It makes sense in my mind from a PPS perspective that if you have more dollars/share PPS goes up. My buying power outside of Canada went down... but my account goes up. Unless my brain just farted.
Consider:
Joe has 100 shares at $12 CAD Shares are trading at $10 US
Suddenly $1 U.S. goes to $2 CAD from $1 CAD (CAD dollar drops $1)
However people in the U.S. are still bidding $10 for NRIFF (It was trading at $12 CAD but it is now $24 Canadian pusing $ per share up).
Now that's a bit extreme, the $ dropped I think like 1.5% but it still shifted some stocks considerably.
True price of NRIFF should be like 6.27 though or something so you guys should see a very nice day if it goes up tomorrow. Something I will mention as well - you can probably make money by manipulating that system, I've done it before when I see U.S. dropped and I sold my CAD high re bought CAD the next day and didn't lock in the U.S. loss. I've only ever done it once though would be interesting to see if it was an exact science.

I know what you're trying to say, but I just don't think it's reacting that way (or if it were you would see it tied closer to the actual change, which was US/CAD +0.11%, not -1.5%). And at a change of 0.11%, it's hard to contribute any change in NRI or NRIFF share price to that IMO....

Yup, good call. 10 Hours in the office and 5 hours of sleep makes me think like a 6 year old when I come home lol. Should have stopped reading at Joe . Either way I think you'll see a nice boost to NRIFF tomorrow - especially if it climbs a bit more. Looking forward to results for this.

Wow NRI just hit 8.17 I didn't foresee run-up of this strength with still a ways to go. Almost temped to drop a tiny bit but that would be silly I suppose with the cash and catalysts. Hold I will but will wait for a dip if I make a final addition. NRIFF is about to sky rocket to catch up. 80,000 volume on TSX in just 2 hours... wow

I'm just waiting for NRIFF to pop like 11% lol. This strength today and last few days really shows that everyone who wants to get on the run-up really hasn't yet... Lets just hope it holds. GLTA

How can the bid/ask be that high and we be in the red?

My guess is that it's just a liquidity issue. I'll likely be waiting for a high volume day to sell any shares...
At least we got a little bit of a lift today!

I knew that 7% peak today was too strong. Still good to see volume 130k and positive climb.
