BioTime has a number of subsidiaries. I guess one of them - Asterias Biotherapeutics is also listed on a major stock exchange. If these subsidiaries were to do well, will it help the BioTime shareholders? If yes, then I believe this stock has a very good long term value. Isn't it?

That appreciation with these subsidiaries has a direct effect on BTX. Went through some of the presentations on their website. BTX holds about $117 million worth of Asterias shares(72%). I think the eventual plan is to IPO all the subsidiaries one by one. Something Ocata should consider doing with its MSC cells. Wonder why has Ocata registered the ARK trademark.
