Huge catalyst coming any day now and the pps is trading well below the recent oversubscribed offering price!
Brief business summary: QuickLogic Corporation, a semiconductor company, develops semiconductor platforms and intellectual property solutions for smartphones, wearable and hearable devices, tablets, and the Internet-of-Things. It also provides flexible sensor processing solutions, ultra-low power display bridges, ultra-low field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), and programming hardware and design software solutions. I jumped into this one on Friday at $3.47, averaged down all the way to $3.05, and now have a pretty big position at $3.27. Market cap: $34M o/s:10.9M Float: 8.3M CoH: (approx) $26M *Current share price: $3.16 ***They just closed a public offering and raised $8.75M last week. ** The offering was oversubscribed and the pricing was $3.50 This is a very solid company working with some huge companies. Revenue is increasing and they are anticipating 61% gross margins this quarter. They have a lot going on, including using their AI technology called SensiML to potentially detect COVID-19. Some of their business has taken a hit due to COVID-19. They are expecting a 20% reduction in previously guided revenue due a break in the supply chain not allowing for shipping of their circuit board that was to be used in a new voice-recognition Smart TV remote control. The TV company went with an older model remote to be in time for the holiday rush, but that customer should come back next year. The main catalyst and reason why I dumped CLSK Friday and moved that money into this is because the CEO on the last call said that they will be announcing a new "initiative" with a "mega-cap" company in the coming weeks. The call was May 11th and on their corporate presentation it says it is supposed to launch in Q2. So really any day now. I'll write more in the next post. It was trading in the high $5s a few months ago, but like most stocks it took a corona-hit. Then they did a raise the other day. Like SOLY it’s at a vulch-price at the moment, but with more near term catalysts than SOLY. |

I took a small position at $3.06 yesterday. I am always concerned about open source tech companies because they need to make their profits on support services, which isn't always an easy sell. I tentatively plan to sell on the confirmation of the partnership with Google, which I hope results in a share price spike, but depending upon how the partnership is structured I might stick around longer.

I totally agree. If they truly have a deal with Google or any other mega-cap company for Quickfeather, then that concern is more or less eliminated. My strategy is similar to yours. I plan to sell most if not all, on the news, unless they give me reason to hold for the long haul. The CEO said the announcement with the mega-cap company is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the potential with Quickfeather. |

OK, so...QUIK said on the call in May, that they would make a blog about this new initiative with the mega-cap company. They used this news to then raise $8.7M in cash which will hold them over for at least a year, if not forever. I was waiting for a big headline like "Google partners with Quiklogic for Cutting Edge Initiative" or something like that, that I missed it when it was right below my nose. So where things stand now for me and anyone else holding in terms of near term catalysts, is when *Google* makes the announcement. It is a pretty big deal, so once things get rolling I do expect Google to start talking about QUIK/Quikfeather in PRs or public events, etc...And we know this because back on QUIK's May 11th earnings call, when asked if [Google] would highlight Quickfeather and QUIK in the marketing, the CEO answered with the following: "Yes. I think without spilling all the beans right now, it's -- they are going to be referring to our name and QuickFeather. They're going to be taking several of those units and helping get those out to their community, both internal to that company and folks in their ecosystem. That's what they're going to do."

I would not sell a single share currently (except when a big pump occurs). They are at an inflection point, which changes the company's prospects completely. I understand your scepticism, lcd, regarding the open source point. What i believe is that this is their biggest advantage. They got a lot of praise in the last days for Quickfeather being fully open source and that will attract many customers. We may have to wait a little bit longer than first expected to see movement influenced from the Google deal, but they are already sending out hundreds of Quickfeather boards. Should be thousands in the next few months. This is a good time to accumulate, imo. That said, I trimmed my position here temporarily to add some shares of CPAH in time for earnings next week. I'll put those shares back and then some (hopefully) right after, which was the plan all along. |

I feel like I am stretched too thin on stocks and since I always planned to sell this one on news, I went ahead and exited this afternoon at $3.30. Made a 7% profit after 2 weeks so I can't complain, but if you are still holding this one you can probably expect the share price to skyrocket now that I am out.

Note how many traders plowed into $MVIS and $WIMI when those stocks became hot. This has not gotten any volume in about two years. The only unusual volume were on offering announcements and those were not good days. Stay focused expect big things here.
