I hope so. I want QUIK to go up, but not OBLG Well...OBLG is having a nice day today. If I had guts I’d sell everything and buy back after it drops back down, but I won’t...

Also, I’d love to get through the next month without having to sell anything else for a profit.

I took a small position with OBLG at $5.80 then had a much larger buy in at $5.62 (which was the ask at the time) this morning but it started spiking right after I put in my buy order.
I think the cloud product will be very interesting. I am a little suspect on their current hardware products which seem like quite an investment. If the cloud product can get them in the door with more companies, then they might be able to win trust for the larger hardware investment.

The big companies who bought and use the original Mezzanine, love it. But it failed commercially because of the price and because you have to be in an office which had the expensive hardware. By transitioning to the cloud and subscription it opens the door to everyone. Now it's just a matter of the product being as good in the work-from-home setting as it is in a hub office. Check out this Mezzanine promo video from Fujitsu if you haven't seen it:

They do some great marketing. I wish my company could make that quality of marketing material for our products.
I look forward to seeing a video on how it works in the cloud. It will obviously need to be scaled down in someways and I imagine they might have GPU limitations.
I will look to add here, but that $5 million placement for $4/share wasn't a great deal or at least it wasn't timed very well since the price spiked two weeks earlier.

From OBLG’s PR in Oct regarding 7 newly granted patents relating to their new cloud offering: www.businesswire.com/news/home/20201005005273/en/Oblong-Announces-New-Patents-for-Remote-Work-to-Enhance-Current-and-Planned-Multi-share-Collaboration-OfferingsThe following areas are covered in the recent patents:
-Collaborative work environments for users—both in-room and remote—working with multiple screens and multiple content sources
-Methods for high fidelity data transfer and synchronized user interaction
-Contactless, gestural control of immersive, spatial environments at distance
-Multi-process communication that enables key capabilities across all Oblong products
“We hear our customers and understand the unique demands of a post-pandemic workplace,” added Holst. “Oblong is uniquely positioned to design, develop, and deploy new collaboration tools that further enhance collaboration between remote teams beyond what Mezzanine provides today. The resulting platform enhancements will further improve team communication through ease of use, more efficient use of time, and novel modes of remote collaboration.”
Oblong intends to reveal specific advances in this area as early as Q1 2021.
The bolded part sounds like it could be awesome. Like Minority Report for real Also, I guess it may be Q1 before we hear anything.

There are still zero shares available to borrow at IB. At some point, shortsellers will need to cover. What will happen then? Float is tight and any surge in buying activity leads to a a significant gain.

Float is tight and any surge in buying activity leads to a a significant gain. For those with a good number of shares, hopefully it is similar to OTRK when they had very high short interest before the pps really popped, but if OBLG doesn't have any news soon, we might see shorts take back control. If this happens and the pps gets down around $6 again, I will take a much bigger stake.

Hopefully Oblong comes out with their web-based product soon because Citrix just announced major upgrades to WebEx and RingCentral has re-released their own product. I attend multiple virtual meetings each week with clients and I sense there will be a point soon when consumers will get fed up with too many different tools. People like to have their backgrounds pre-configured and feel comfortable with the features before getting on a meeting. Additionally, offering a tool that does not require a desktop installation makes it much easier to reach new clients, and security is a major issue for some companies. For example, as a federal employee you can not use Zoom, or many other tools, from a federal machine due to security risks. I see all larger organizations are rallying around Microsoft Teams and Google Meets. I think Zoom clients will be easier to push out if Oblong's tool can offer just a sub-set of the features their Mezzanine tool offers. www.barrons.com/articles/ringcentral-is-taking-on-zoom-and-slack-with-a-single-app-51608066300

OBLG went back down under $6 fast. I now have a fairly large position. Added as well. If it dips to $5.60, i will buy more. My position is now good and not to big. Enough room to add more.

3210 shares available to borrow now at IB. Stiill almost no covering activity. Is there a similar option for TD Ameritrade/ Fidelity users to see available shares to borrow?

That's a great point. OBLG needs to, at the very least, announce this new generation platform even if they don't launch it until Q1. I haven't seen the Citrix upgrades yet, but what separates Mezzanine from Microsoft Teams and Google Meets (and Zoom and WebEx), is the information sharing. You just can't do everything on those platforms that you can do on Mezzanine, in my opinion. I am not sure the companies who are simply looking for a platform to have a virtual meeting, are the same companies who are looking to have a work experience where people spread all over the world can actually come together in the same place and information share, whether it be in an office or from home. From what I've read, I'm not sure OBLG is trying to target the former.
