What a wonderful ride today! sold 5k at $4.61, rebought @ $4.37, now just took off 2k @ $4.67. Would be nice if this would happen every day...I love these saw-tooth patterns. Still have a very large long holding.

Shout out to Andy aka Ablidy, Thank you! A September to remember, what else could be lined up? Platelets BOOM! Lupus, peer reviewed Tufts data BOOM! IND for photoreceptors "expeditiously" and protocol update BOOM! Clinical sites announced BOOM! A JV with Veterinary company BOOOOM! Remaining topline data peer reviewed in the NEJM BOOOOOM! SPA Approval BOOOOM! Start of Phase 2/3 BOOOOOOM! Breakthrough status BOOOOM! Fast track designation BOOOOM! and the multitudes of PRs from left field unbeknowst on any given day, BOOOOOOOOOOM! With the NIH now aligned with OCAtA the argument upon which line is used is moot. Positive Vibrations, Trillions!

Added more at $3.62, hoping that that $3.50ish was the near term bottom and we trend higher from here on news, and expectation of news.
Nice move up today. The below is what I'm hoping for over the next several weeks...
9/4 Lupus data - Hoping the uptrend on expectations of news continues and we see the $4.50 - $5 range on this news.
9/30 Start of Phase 2 - Sometime before 9/30 we should see some news of Phase 2 initiating. I'm hoping we get back to $6ish on that news. Generally, starting trials doesn't do much for other biotechs, but because OCAT has been so sold off ($7ish to $3s) the start of Phase 2 could help fuel a recovery. Note there is a higher gap in the chart from $5.88 to $6.23. I'm hoping that gap fills on the Phase 2 initiating news.
Beyond that, I'm not sure... as we could see a "sell the news" effect occur depending on how high it rebounds.
Future near-term PPS direction from now until the end of 2015 may depend on the terms on the non-core JV, and whether or not the redefinition happens.
I'll be looking to take some off the table if we get all the way back to the $6-$7 range, which would be a $260M - $300M market cap. I think OCAT will need the redefinition or a solid non-core JV to get back to that level or higher (and hold it) before Phase 2 interim results are out.
GL all.
OCAT looking great today. IMO, the bolded above is the reason for this recent uptrend.
With news pending, filling that higher gap from $5.88 - $6.23 is looking more likely.
Need the buying (and perhaps some short covering) to continue.
Note: There is a small lower gap that formed over the past few days from $4.23 - $4.26. I'm keeping an eye on it, but not concerned with it filling at the moment.

I think this may be a breakaway gap and with our recent volume, it most probably won't get filled. I too think most shorts are throwing up surrender signs until we announce the beginning of the next clinical trial has started. Then I expect we will have some downward pressure but not like what we have just experienced.

I'd like to see OCAT move back up over $6 fairly quickly on high volume, and then trade there for awhile before I forget about that last gap.
I agree it may never fill as its small and was created during a period of turmoil in the overall market. ADXS had a small gap that never filled in the mid $2s before it ran to $30, so its certainly possible this last gap for OCAT never fills.

are you going to profit at $6? It's nearly double from bottom $3.

are you going to profit at $6? It's nearly double from bottom $3. My plan fwiw...
I have a fairly large OCAT position at the moment with an average cost of $3.75. I plan to take some off the table if/when we fill the higher gap between $5.88-$6.23.
I plan to hold a core position until we see news of the guided non-core JV by end of 2015, as that could take the pps to a higher range depending on the terms of the deal. The redefinition is also a wildcard, so I want to be holding a core position in case we get one or both of those catalysts.
I'll be adding more shares 2-3 months before we expect to see Dry AMD cohort-1 results. Right now that's guided to be Q2 2016 which is still a ways away.
GL all.

People who troll often carelessly fall into their own chum slick to be eaten by sharks. That's my wish for the day.

Seeing some continued consolidation over $4.80 this morning which is a good sign. It consolidated for a good chunk of the day yesterday over $4.80. Hopefully we'll see the next leg up after the supply of shares for sale at this level dries up.
